Recommended Reading area	This may tie into book reviews. We may come back and modify this (or clarify)
Tool catalog with summaries	Everybody has their favorite tools for sysadmin work. We'd like to build a comprehensive catalog and let people contribute to this. This is a volunteer spearheaded initiative and will likely require people to fill in content (anybody, really). Join the LOPSA tools mailing list to help with the project.
Quote of the Week	Quotes from around the community. (this is rather trivial easy, and should be fun). First we need a submission structure and we need probably a person or people to select/vote on which ones will be posted and when.
Book Reviews	Organize book reviews of interest to LOPSA members. This project should also include the LOPSA Book Club.
Standards	We want a comprehensive link of standards in an easy to reference format broken down into categories (TBD).. e.g. RFCs, IETF, IEEE/electrical, EIA/TIA, etc. See the related mailing list, lopsa-standards-project, for an ongoing discussion.
Topic Area Editor	Persons willing to lend editorial skills towards the organization of content areas (in a particular topic/section of the website). Editors are responsible for organizing and soliciting content. See the related mailing list, topic-editors, to participate.
Mail forwarding service (spam control, etc)	This is a fair sized project and involves an architecture plan and implementation for a mail forwarding service that ideally ties into a drupal module and involves spam control
web redirect	A website redirect url for .lopsa.org based upon profile updateable data with a url.
Forums to mail lists gateways	Some people like to email to mail lists. Some people like to post on forums. Some people like looking at mail list archives. Some people like looking for expanded forums. This should work both ways.
Events Calendars	Keeping events calendars up to date (we really only need a couple of people on this one)
Other volunteer opportunities:
Support for regional groups	Organize and implement technical and other support for local and regional LOPSA affiliated groups. Also involved in defining the relationship between local groups and LOPSA. See the related mailing list, lopsa-regional-project, for an ongoing discussion.
Membership	Work on programs to grow LOPSA membership.
Conference/Event presence	Plan and staff LOPSA presence (talks, BOFs, booths, etc) at appropriate conferences and events (sponsored by other organizations)
Conferences and Events	Investigate and plan conferences and other events sponsored by LOPSA
Volunteer Coordinator	Help coordinate volunteer activities
LOPSA Campus Network	Work as part of a network of LOPSA members on university campuses to help introduce LOPSA and system administration to various campus constituencies (including fellow sysadmins and Computer Science and Business faculty and students) and seek out partnership opportunities on campus.
Local group/User group speaker	Speak at local sysadmin groups, or local user groups, about LOPSA. We will provide a speakers kit with information and other support materials (and you can help define what should be in the kit).
