Tutorials will give OLFU students a more intense and personal learning experience on Friday, September 25th. The traditional Ohio LinuxFest conference will take place on Saturday, September 26th. LOPSA and OLFU will offer six half-day classes targeted at system administrators of all skill and experience levels, taught by nationally recognized instructors. Classes include Jesse Trucks and David Parter on disaster recovery and security, Chris St. Pierre on LDAP and SPAM filtering, Jonathan Billings on Linux troubleshooting, and Shawn Powers on Linux-based thin client environments (LTSP). LOPSA Announces Settlement of Lawsuits
The League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) is pleased to announce that Association Headquarters, LOPSA, and the USENIX Association have reached an amicable and satisfactory settlement of the lawsuits between them. As a result, all of the current lawsuits will be dismissed. The parties have agreed that all of the terms of the settlement are to remain confidential and will not be disclosed.

LOPSA announces classes and instructors for SCaLE training, February 20FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Los Angeles, CA, December, 11, 2008 - The League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) is proud to announce the second year of partnering with the Southern California Linux Expo (SCaLE) to present a day-long training program. The tutorials will give SCaLE attendees a more intense and personal learning experience on Friday, February 20th. SCaLE will run from the 20th until Sunday, February 22nd. LOPSA and SCaLE will offer four half-day classes for system administrators of all skill and experience levels.
