LOPSA Live is a chance for members of LOPSA to interact directly with members of the Board. You can ask questions, make suggestions and give feedback in a smaller, "focus group" online chat.

Join us on IRC in the channel #lopsa-live at irc.lopsa.org from 4-5 EDT on Thursday, March 6th to talk about anything and everything LOPSA.

This time around we are back to a slightly earlier time. We like to move the timing around to ensure that people with scheduling conflicts will be able to participate eventually.

Please let us know if you have questions about LOPSA Live.

The chat will be in #lopsa-live on irc.lopsa.org

Start: 7:00 pm
End: 9:00 pm

Monitoring: Why does it always suck, and what can we do about it?

William Bilancio, Arora and Associates, P.C.
Brian Jones, Addthis.com

We all use monitoring systems. Some of us like some monitoring solutions, but many of us are dissatisfied with the current bevy of offerings in both the commercial and open source worlds. The two speakers will start a round table discussion (with audience participation!) about monitoring solutions, methods that work, methods that don't work, and ideas to improve how we monitor our hosts and network devices.

Location: Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library,
Community Room 2, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648

Start: 6:30 pm
End: 9:00 pm
Please join the Madison chapter of The League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) for our January talk and discussion:
