We're pleased to announce that the Internal Revenue Service has approved our application for 501(c)(3) status. 501(c)(3) status recognizes LOPSA’s mission as a non-profit organization whose primary focus is serving the system administration community as a whole, providing for education and outreach, and therefore also serving society as a whole.

501(c)(3) status means that donations and contributions to LOPSA may qualify for tax-deductions for both individual and corporate contributors. This development vastly increases the avenues of sponsorships and donations available to LOPSA, and further enables LOPSA’s mission.

It also means, with just a few days left in the 2007 tax year, now is an excellent time to sponsor LOPSA, or increase your sponsorship level. Contact your tax professional if you have any questions about how this might affect you.
