I think there should be a definite reason for changing jobs.  I know some
people who simply change jobs every 12-18 months.  Some of them most often
leave just before getting fired for gross incompetence, but others just
feel they "have" to change jobs.

I didn't go into deep detail in my previous mail, but all of my job
changes happened for specific reasons.  One was a geographical move, one
was problem with the company, two were because someone recommended me for
jobs and the financial rewards made them nearly impossible to pass up, one
was just because I "grew up".
