Have you tried calling customer support on the phone?  Usually though, 
if the first email gets a template response you can respond and say, 
"no, you didn't answer my question, try again" and they'll take another 
look.  "Legally inclined" suggests much more frustration than a goofed 
template response should generate.  Perhaps you should take a deep 
breath and count to ten before you pick up the phone--you'll probably 
get a better result if you're not ranting.
