In fact, I supported the folks who send out those replies, and I
would humbly point out that the Amazon.com Customer Service folks
are currently in a special kind of hell, since it's a week until
Christmas and every single person who calls or sends mail is FREAKING
OUT because they don't want to explain to their kid that the credit
card on Santa's Amazon.com account is maxed out and now Santa has
to figure out how to send Amazon a fucking money order and get the
damn toy within the next four days. You'd be getting good service
if it weren't Christmas, I promise.
You may have good luck if you call and tell the person on the other
end of the phone a quick joke, and then give them the order number
under which the GC was purchased (you may have to get this from the
purchaser). They should be able to fix it in under five minutes
if the order itself was valid.
Oh, and Trey Harris would be your current Amazon hookup :)
