	I would trust the hardware vendor more because they have put more 
skin into the game, and the cost of failure is higher for them.  The 
same reasons why I trust a hardware vendor of RAID controllers and 
devices more than I trust the software-only implementations.

	I mean, it's not like I've got the technical expertise to 
properly evaluate the code in a software-only implementation.  So, on 
that respect, I'm not losing anything here.

	Right, but some users are too stupid to be able to handle a 
software VPN on their home LAN.  A hardware box that they can always 
take with them and always plug their ethernet connector into, is a 
different story.
