Yes, but that could change at any time: I've been booking the talks for
something like four years now, and I'm starting to burn out. I've been
asking for people to help out, but no response in over a year of calls
for volunteers. if I stop booking talks, it would't surprise me if the
group went into hibernation. This is based on our past history. :-(

As I said, we're open to any/all affiliations; joint projects are less
certain, but we're not in any way opposed to them.

Um, I don't see how this is possible: Most of our speakers are local so
expenses aren't an issue; the speakers that can and/or are willing to
pay their own expenses already do. That leaves the non-local speakers
we'd like to have but can't afford to bring to town.

No -- but someday I hope they will, and we might come asking for some of
it. :-)
