I agree with Adam that these two ideas in particular will not fly.   (for
similar reasons)  To be clear though - it looks like Eric was not suggesting
that the ideas presented would be the list to adopt, but rather a set of
options that we should consider.  Let's not be too emotional about saying
"let's not do that"-) [sometimes you don't know what you want until you know
what you don't want]
