To quote from http://lopsa.org/projects
"Organize and implement technical and other support for local and
regional LOPSA affiliated groups. Also involved in defining the
relationship between local groups and LOPSA."
The mailing list information page
http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lopsa-regional-project defines
the charter as: "Team coordination for the project to support regional
groups."
So in other words we're here to find out how LOPSA can support regional
groups and we're doing that by finding out what those groups may want
and what we think LOPSA's role could be in helping them.
Some of the work we've done is summarized on http://lopsa.org/local
which I invite you and any other interested LOPSA member to contribute to.
I've also created on a form to make it easier to request a hosted
mailing list: http://lopsa.org/listrequest
Our main deliverable is a policy defining how LOPSA will interact with
interested local and regional groups that can be voted on by the board.
I have a question for you -- how can LOPSA help BayLISA?
