[Lopsa-regional-project] Goals ..

Purpose and Goals are separate things .. so when I take a look at the
web site with regards to what this list is for.. I see the following:

Not all of these projects will be starting immediately -- some will
wait until we have enough volunteers, some will need Board and staff
support, or other resources. However, we would like to know what you
want to do, so please sign up now. Either a project leader or a
volunteer coordinator will contact you regarding the current status of
the project.

along with the list description:
Organize and implement technical and other support for local and
regional LOPSA affiliated groups. Also involved in defining the
relationship between local groups and LOPSA. See the related mailing
list, lopsa-regional-project, for an ongoing discussion.

So the purpose of the list is discovery or organizing/implementing? 
Who is the project leader/volunteer coordinator?

One of the goals of the project is perhaps the list description?  but
the project itself is still being formalized?

It seems like right now that what is happening is the discovery of
what group leaders are saying their individual groups want out of
LOPSA.  If we can sort of define what stage we are in then the
discussions can be a little bit less confusing.  (At least to me).

What do groups need?
What things are the same across groups?  What things are different? 
How do we allow an interface, while still allowing individual groups
to maintain their separate identities.
What can LOPSA learn from groups in helping other groups form?
What does LOPSA get/need from groups?

We need more volunteers.  Plenty of people willing/interested in
meetings.  Not enough people actually interested in being involved in
processes.  How do we change that apathy?
