Personally, I was introduced to LOPSA at a local LUG meeting by a LOPSA
member that was in town and was kind enough to do a presentation at the same
time I found out about the local LOPSA group as well. So for me at least it
would be good for the local groups to be informed on how to attend local
user group meetings to tell people about us. Also, I know Hans is pushing
the LOPSA members here to give presentations at the groups as well. I think
that is a great way to promote the organization.
It would be nice if there is was a list of members that are available to do
presentations at the user groups. Something else that would be kind of cool
is to publish a list of the local groups leaders and encourage members that
are traveling and willing to presentations to let that person know when they
are available for presentations. The local leader could then see if there
was an appropriate user group meeting going on during that time and see
about getting this person in to do a "LOPSA sponsored presentation".
