LOPSA System Administration Master Class at YAPC::NA 2008

Members of the League of Professional System Administrators (LOPSA) are teaching a two day System Administration Master Class at the Yet Another Perl Conference North America (YAPC::NA), in Chicago, IL, USA, on June 19 and 20.

The instructors, LOPSA Board Members David Parter and Jesse Trucks, will delve into more than a dozen areas of the profession of system administration critical to all system administrators of any discipline. The course will be technology neutral, appropriate to anyone managing all types of systems and networks.

Mount Laurel, NJ, Sept 13, 2007 - LOPSA, the League of Professional System Administrators, is pleased to announce the courses we will be offering at the Ohio LinuxFest University (OLFU) for Friday, September 28. These professional courses will give OLFU students a more intense and personal learning experience than the standard 50 minute talks during the open conference.

One of the greatest challenges facing the Internet is the abundance of Spam email. Chris St. Pierre will be teaching "The Open Source Stack: One Approach to Spam Fighting". As computing environments grow ever larger and more complex, it becomes more difficult to know everything about an environments. Chris will help computing professionals learn to better know their individual environment through "Internal Documentation for System Administrators".

LOPSA partners with Ohio Linux Fest to provide expanded training at OLFU

Columbus, OH, Aug 16, 2007 - The Ohio LinuxFest is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with D. L. Corbet & Associates and LOPSA, the League of Professional System Administrators for a tutorial program called OLFU.

Tutorials will give OLFU students a more intense and personal learning experience on Friday September 28. The traditional Ohio LinuxFest conference will take place on Saturday September 29.
