LOPSA Mentorship Program

A primary purpose of LOPSA is to provide training and education opportunities for system admins so they can grow their knowledge and skills.  Currently, LOPSA does this by pairing willing mentors with mentors to assist them with learning to subjects or working on specific projects.

How the Program Works

Current LOPSA members may enter as a mentor, protege, or both.  Using our https://lopsa.slack.com/ Slack workspace, proteges can be matched with mentors and work through an agreed upon project of limited duration.

Guiding Principals

  • Mentorship relationships are driven by the protege, not the mentor.
  • Everybody involved with the program is to be treated with respect and professionalism.
