Dear LOPSA Members:
To provide for a better election process, the board has provisionally approved a proposal to amend the bylaws. The changes are:
1. Amend Article 4 (Directors), Section 3 (Election of Directors) by striking “June” and inserting “December”:
Voting shall be held annually, in June December, for the portion of the Board members whose terms are expiring.
2. Amend Article 6 (Board Meetings), Section 2 (Annual Directors Meeting) by striking “within 90 days after each election, and at the approximate midpoint of the Current Board Term” and inserting “in January”:
The Annual Directors meeting shall be held within 90 days after each election, and at the approximate midpoint of the Current Board Term in January.
As a LOPSA member you may submit a comment to the board regarding these changes. They may be sent to board@lopsa.org. The comment period will be open until end of the day May 28th. Note that these comments will be a part of the record. The Board will then consider all comments, and will vote on June 1st to permanently approve or reject the changes.
