Community

The system administrator community is composed of people with an amazing variety of skills and backgrounds.  We have approached the field from many different background and career paths, but we all have the same goal -- to make things work and to keep them working.  Good system admins try to improve ourselves, so we take efforts to learn and we're interested in the community around us.  LOPSA is the organization whose goal it is to encourage and facilitate communications among system admins.

Through our IRC channels, mail lists, mentorship program, and conferences we encourage you to help out others, ask for help when you need it, and participate in the system admin community.
