The System Administration Community

A profession depends on an active community more than anything; the best ideas and the best implementations are forged by interaction, by debate, and by active consideration by a community of individuals.

However, as system administrators we are often isolated in our jobs; many of us are the only sysadmin at our entire organization.

LOPSA fosters community through online means, such as mailing lists and live discussions, supplementing live conferences and workshops and extending their reach to be year-round. Community participants in all our channels range from the rank novice to some of the longest standing members of the profession; our best discussions can sometimes produce answers nobody knew going into the discussion.

LOPSA fosters community through local chapters and affiliation with and support for other local groups.

LOPSA is ultimately about community; join today and gain access so you too can both learn and teach through LOPSA.
